Head Down

This piece was inspired by a late-night moment when I couldn’t fall asleep. As I lay in bed, I randomly started thinking, does insomnia have anything to do with how much blood is flowing to my brain? If I got more blood to my brain, would I sleep better? And if so, should I lower my head somehow?
That strange thought immediately sparked a vivid image in my mind. One single posture, suspended in a completely dark space, with everything else fading out. It felt absurd, but also oddly interesting and beautiful. The next day, I decided to draw that image, trying to capture the surreal, half-conscious mood of that moment, when logic, body, and insomnia collided in an unexpected way.
